Reunions at a Glance: Attendance, Participation, and Giving

Class Agents serve to strengthen ties back to Cornell and among classmates. In preparation for reunions, Reunion Committee members partner with Class Agents to help build attendance at reunion events and encourage their classmates to give in recognition of milestone reunions.

Reunions give alumni the opportunity to reunite with their alma mater, to walk the beautiful Hilltop again and see the changes that have occurred. Buildings are renovated, professors and administrators come and go.  In fact, the only real constant is our alumni.  A reunion — perhaps the only trip back to the campus in years — provides alumni with an opportunity to gain a renewed sense of school spirit and enthusiasm.

Cornell College’s reunion program encourages as many class members as possible to connect during the reunion year, to return to campus, and to increase participation in and total giving to the Annual Fund.  Strong attendance levels strengthen class ties and friendships, and alumni who attend reunions are more likely to support Cornell in the ways that are most important -- keeping up with the college’s news and priorities, attending events, volunteering, and giving to the Annual Fund.
